A suicide prevention hoodie that actually does something
Most awareness clothing asks you to wear a ribbon. We'd rather fund the people doing the work — £5 from every HHSS hoodie is donated to Man Down UK, a non-profit Community Interest Company providing free peer-led men's mental-health support groups.
Suicide is the biggest killer of men under 50 in the UK. Most of the men it takes never asked anyone for help first. HHSS exists because of that fact — Heavy Heart Strong Soul is a brand built around getting men talking before it's too late.
People search for a suicide prevention hoodie when they want to wear a message. HHSS makes awareness clothing, not a treatment or a way to prevent mental-health conditions. Here is what it stands for, who it supports, and where to get help.
Awareness is cheap. Funding isn't.
A lot of awareness clothing stops at the slogan. We wanted the purchase itself to do something. So £5 from every hoodie sale is donated to Man Down UK, a non-profit Community Interest Company providing free peer-led men's mental-health support groups. £3 from every tee, £2 from every cap and £1 from every car window sticker. It's part of the price, not an optional add-on.
Every purchase helps support Man Down UK's work supporting men's mental health. Man Down UK is a men's mental health non-profit Community Interest Company (CIC). Read more about who we support.
Why a hoodie?
Because it's the thing men actually live in. A heavyweight hoodie has structure, weight and a premium feel — and the Heavy Heart Strong Soul artwork says something to the people who recognise it, without announcing anything to the people who don't.
You don't have to explain it. But if it starts one conversation between two mates, it's done its job.
What counts as anti suicide clothing?
Anti suicide clothing is any piece worn to signal that talking is allowed and that the person wearing it is safe to talk to. The test we hold ourselves to is simple: does the money do anything, and is the garment good enough that it gets worn every week rather than once?
That's why HHSS is one heavyweight product line rather than a wall of printed slogans. A heavyweight hoodie in the wash cycle every week says more than a tee that stays in a drawer.

Worried about someone else?
You don't need the right words. Ask directly — 'are you thinking about suicide?' does not put the idea in their head. Then listen, stay with them, and help them reach one of the services above.
